TBMYO Advisory Board Meeting Held
The 2025-2026 Academic Year Advisory Board Meeting of the Iğdır University Vocational School of Technical Sciences (TBMYO) was held online on October 15, 2026, at 13:00.
The meeting, which began with an opening address by Prof. Dr. Aliihsan ŞEKERTEKİN, Director of the Vocational School (TBMYO), was moderated by Dr. Belkıs MUCA YİĞİT, Chair of the TBMYO Quality Commission. Discussions focused on enhancing the quality of education and instruction at the vocational school, developing academic programs in alignment with sectoral needs, and strengthening collaboration with external stakeholders.
During the meeting, discussions were held with advisory board members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Süel regarding the enhancement of practical training and fieldwork within the Hunting and Wildlife Program, and with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Niş concerning the alignment of technical training in the construction field with current industry expectations.
Discussions were held with Savaş Ekşi, a biologist from the Iğdır Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, regarding environmental management, sustainability, and the enhancement of professional practices; and with Zeki Ölmez, a representative from the private sector, concerning the integration of technological advancements in IT and security systems into educational processes, as well as the support of students' practical professional skills.
The meeting, which brought together representatives from academic circles, public institutions, the private sector, and alumni, concluded with discussions focused on incorporating stakeholder feedback and suggestions into educational processes, as well as strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
