General Information

Iğdır University Technical Sciences Vocational School started its activities in the 2013-2014 academic year with 7 programs, as an institution providing two-year associate degree education in order to train the intermediate manpower needed by the Turkish Industry. While our school was operating under the name of “Iğdır Vocational School”, it was renamed as Technical Sciences Vocational School in 2013 with the decision of our University Senate.

Our college continues its education in 4864 m² classroom, laboratory and social area in Şehit Bülent Yurtseven Campus of our University. In addition to 10 classrooms in our unit, there are 2 computer laboratories, 1 Electrical Workshop, 1 Machine Workshop, 1 Handicrafts laboratory, 1 Ceramics workshop, 1 Automotive workshop, 1 Salt Therapy Workshop, 1 Architecture and Urban Planning Laboratory and 1 Hunting and Wildlife Laboratory, and students are provided with comprehensive hardware and software support. They are also provided with the use of smart boards and projection systems.

Technical Sciences Vocational School started education with 7 programs in 2013 and currently continues with 24 programs. With its 43 academic staff, University-Industry cooperation is effectively implemented and it pays attention to self-renewal efforts in vocational education.

It was separated from Iğdır Vocational School by the decision of the senate on June 14, 2013 and continues its education and training activities with 24 formal education programs in the Technical Sciences Vocational School Building on the Şehit Bülent Yurtseven Campus.
